What is wrong with store bought baby food?

My son loves the beech nut raisin granola cereal in the jars along with sweet potatoes and a few others. I do give him mostly table food, but I use the baby food every day. The reason I ask is when I asked a question last night about the baby food, I got about 5 out of 8 answers saying how lazy it is, and unhealthy. What exactly is unhealthy about it? I am being serious. If there is something bad in baby food I would really like to know.
