What is the best way to thaw homemade baby food?
Posted by: Baby Food Grinder / Category: baby food questions, baby food warmerI’ve read enough about making baby food to know most moms seem to agree the easiest method is to make big batches and freeze it in serving sized cubes. Just one question- what method is best to thaw out the food at feeding time? It seems microwaving would defeat the purpose of making ‘better’ baby food. Do you thaw it in the fridge overnight? Put it in a saucepan with a little water? Some other method I haven’t thought of…?

We’ve had some great feedback about our product comparison page, and are now working on some useful new features. Two changes are already live! The first change is a detailed description of each item, to make selection a little easier. We’ve also changed the format so that items are listed in rows instead of columns, which means we can quickly add new items – we’ll just pop a new row on the bottom.
Please continue to provide feedback – the comparison page is a tool aimed at helping our visitors, so it needs to give you the features you want.
Cheers,
- Stewart

Warming up baby food while on vacation?
Posted by: Baby Food Grinder / Category: baby food questions, baby food warmerWe’re taking a family vacation and I need serious suggestions on how to warm up my son’s baby food. We’ll be gone for 10 or 11 days. I hate that I’m going to have to give him store bought food. I’ve never used store bought baby food. Can he eat it at room temperature without getting sick?

Is it safe to warm up baby food in the microwave?
Posted by: Baby Food Grinder / Category: baby food questions, baby food warmerI’ve been warming baby food in the microwave and been told its bad, does anyone know the truth of this please? And I’m sure microwaved food continues to cook/heat even after the microwave has finished, which is why it is best to leave it stand for 1 minute before ‘serving’.
