How do you make home made baby foods? My daughter loves bananas and I figured it would be cheaper just to mash some up the fresh ones we have in the house. But I don’t know the best way to do it.
Should I mix formula and cereal in with a banana?
And it doesn’t have to be limited to bananas, what other foods would be food for homemade baby foods?

I have a three month old and have stocked up on about 120 baby food jars different variates, I bought on ebay. I have a chance to buy 4 cases of 12-4oz jars apple, bananas, and peas plus about 15 extras for 15 so I am wondering if I should go for it or not. When did you start baby foods, what was the first one, and how long did you use them for?

I have a seven month old baby and the doctor recently put him on baby food. We’ve been feeding him a 4 oz jar of food every day. Is that too much? Not enough? Or is that about right? If so, should I feed him the whole jar at once or half in the morning and half at night? Or a third of the jar three times a day? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Question by Natosha Shaw: How much cereal or baby food should my six month old baby be eating?
I just recently got my baby to start eating cereal. She used to keep spitting it out. She still will not eat baby food. I’m worried that she is too dependant on formula. How do I correct this and how do I ensure she is getting enough food and nutrition? How much baby food and cereal should she be eating at six months of age? Any advice is appreciated.

I am going to have to say I would not recommend any cereal. It causes severe gas and constipation in babies, and has little to no nutritional value. Babies can survive and thrive on breast milk and/or formula for a year, and even more than a year. So it’s not a bad thing that she’s dependent on the formula. But at six months, i would start to try to introduce regular people food that you could mush with a food processor.

baby food questions
I have been feeding my little boy solids since he was about 5 months old, he is now 9 months and he will hardly eat any baby food! Mayber 1/2 a jar to 3/4 a jar a day, plus rice cereal in his night bottle. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get him to eat more? I am a breast feeding working mother and I pump at work, however, my milk supply is getting lower and lower and I would like to start him on more solids. Thanks for anybody’s helpful hints!

I have started my 6 month old on solids, about half a jar during the day. Do I need to feed him milk or water before or after this? Or can i just give him solid food?

He has eaten baby food just fine and those Gerber puffs (banana) but now that I am trying little bites of table foods (banana, soft fruits, etc) he gags and throws up. He has 7 teeth. Any help is appreciated.

My daughter doesn’t want to eat the jars of baby food anymore. What are some lunch ideas I can pack so she can take to her daycare, other than the Gerber Graduates microwavable lunches, soups, etc? The daycare has requested that I bring food for her to eat. I need good, healthy lunch ideas. Not just snack ideas, please.
