What kinds of food can you introduce to a 7 month old?
Posted by: Baby Food Grinder / Category: baby food questionsNumerous people have told me either only baby food, or start with real fruits or steamed vegetables and such. What is your take on this? What have you introduced to your little ones?
Also I heard you can buy a little food mesh thing that looks like a pacifier, and you put fruit or vegetables in to introduce foods so they don’t choke. Have any of you tried this?

My daughter is about 7.5 months and she’s eating the baby food (most flavors) and boiled carrots and bananas. She has a couple teeth as well so she’s eating the Gerber Graduates Puffs.
I’ve thought about getting the mesh thing but can’t bring myself to do it. I think it’s a good idea but the thought of cleaning it makes me hesitate. Can you just imagine taking a half chewed/squeezed piece of fruit out of the mesh? Yuck.

The Baby Safe Feeder is amazing. It’s so great for teething babies too. Freeze some fruits and then put them into the feeder and you have a healthy nutritious teething reliever. Sure, there is a mess but your baby will have so much enjoyment from it. Try frozen blueberries, grapes, mangos, peaches, melons anything really.
You can do meats at this age and don’t forget yogurt and even cheese.
