Rice cereal, oatmeal and mostly any cereal either from the jar or boxed that you can mix with their formula is perfect for a child that age and you can try mixing it with applesauce, peaches, pears or any other non-acidic fruit. They shouldn't have juices or fruits with acids until they're 12 months or older, it's rough on their tummies. Any other juices should at first be diluted with water to create less problems. You can also introduce them to their veggies mixed with their cereal as well. I had no problems with that and I really never had any problems with them spitting up their food but they always spit up their formula, I think that's something that mostly all newborns do. I have one grandson that never spit up his formula and he's the first I've even see that didn't and he also had no problems with his baby foods. GOOD LUCK!!

i would continue with baby rice just now, all babies are different, and your baby is maybe just going to take a bit longer to wean, dont worry she will eat normal food when she is ready, and as long as she is putting on weight and is content i wouldnt worry too much.

Avocado is a really good first food. Bananas are also good. I found the book Super Baby Food diet really helpful. It has a glossary that lists foods -- what age they can be introduced/ nutritional value/ reasons you might avoid until older (cause digestive problems, etc)

Good luck

It may not be the food at all, but her body's way of telling you to stop giving her solids before she's ready.
