Any good ideas for reusing baby food containers?
Posted by: Baby Food Grinder / Category: baby food questionsI have those Gerber plastic baby food containers piling up. I hate to throw them away because they seem like great little containers. Any ideas?

oh my gosh, everything….. my aunt teaches kindergartner and i keep them for her. she puts broken crayons, tacks, paint, glitter, even their snacks in them. i keep my change, i keep snacks in them, and even made a sewing kit to keep in my diaper bag. what can’t you do with them. if you don’t want them or want to keep them, take them to a school, i’m sure they can find a use for them….. have fun!!!! oh and i made kool-aid ice cubes to keep birthday punch cold, that was my favorite.

You can always take them to a preschool or daycare. My daughters preschool is always asking for odds and ends stuff for projects.

Hi I would have to say they are very useful for craft items, such as
beads, saftey pins, paint, glue, glitter, pennises, pasta shells for crafts- sea shells
also handy in the garage for the guys, drill bits, screws different types sorted out in different jars, nails, etc
kids creations, different colored sand, in layers make beautiful designs, also you can use paper tissue and glue them on to the outside, in little pieces to make attractive pen and pencil holders

Art storage is the best! you can also use them later when your baby is older to tote along snacks.
Love the idea of the koolaid ice cubes, and a travel sewing kit.
You could also make individual jello cups, ice cream treats, pudding, etc.
When I was a preschool teacher we were ALWAYS looking for items like this for projects. I am sure that any preschool or elementary school would welcome the donation.
You could also make a mommy emergency kit:
*shout wipes
*asprin
*gum
*nail file
*gas card
*chapstick/lipstick
-or-
baby emergency kit
*shout wipes
*baby meds
*orajel
*pacifier
