Toddler Café is a very nice cookbook. If you are trying to get your kids interested in healthier menu items. My daughter (3) doesn’t have a problem not eating healthy. I found the items to not be made in a timely fashion. I consider myself to be a learning chef and I have many ingredients on hand. If I was going to make these meals I would have to make sure that I pick recipes before I go to the grocery store. There are not many substitues for the type of things you need. If you don’t have a problem doing those things then definately buy this book. Otherwise try something else.

All the recipes look really easy and fun to make. I love the photos and lay out which makes it so easy & enjoyable to use.

Jennifer does a great job of advising parents on how to engage kids during meal time and I love the stories she shares with the recipes. I have an 8 & 6 year old, I am sure they will love some of the recipes eventhough they are no longer a toddler.

I bought this book for ideas on what to feed my 1 year old daughter (who is now 18 months old). There are some interesting ideas on getting more veggies into your child’s diet but most of the recipes I’ve tried haven’t worked. Just last night, we made the squashed potato pancakes and all they did was stick to the pan. My favorite recipe from this book is the peanut butter globes.

My six-year-old son was always more interested in books than food – until now.

Since the Toddler Cafe arrived we’ve used it every day. Day I: Banana Hot Dogs, with strawberry jelly and peanut butter standing in for ketchup and dijon – and pistachio relish on top for lunch. Dinner began with Popcorn Soup and ended with Globe Globs, which we’ve had every night for almost a month! If it wasn’t enough that my son was reading all the recipes out loud in a Julia Child-voice, he then wrote up a full ingredients list and sent me to the market to prep for the next meal… thank you Jennifer!
