You don’t need any special equipment — it IS SO easy. I work full time and “fell into” DIY baby food. We never bought a single jar of it. Purees are easy. Just steam and puree. Same method works for sweet potatoes, pumpkin, broccoli, peas … Or bake. Buy 2 acorn squash. Cut them in 1/2. Bake one for yourselves and scoop out other the one for baby. Puree in food processor and you have 5-6 meals. It is so easy that I blog about it too! When I read that a UK study found that fast food cheeseburgers were more nutritious than some packaged baby meals, I never felt better about myself! Don’t get bogged down in equipment or complicated recipes, just do what you think makes sense. And if your baby doesn’t love something right away, just freeze it and reintroduce it a few weeks later. GOOD LUCK!
