My 16 month old daughter loves to “read” this book. She chooses it every day and spends time turning the pages and studying the faces. She then says each of the words…banana, cracker etc. She is so proud of herself, because she can “read” this book just like her mom. My family and friends love watching her “read” and she is so proud to show off. Definately one of the best books we have bought.

Baby Food is a series of close-up baby pictures with one word descriptions like “messy”, etc. Like most babies, my son (9 months) is fascinated by the faces of other babies. This book is worth five bucks to me but it’s not something that you will spend a significant amount of time with. I sometimes open a PARENTS or CHILD magazine and point to pictures of babies for my son to look at while he sits on my lap. This book is sort of the same thing.

our 2-year-old *still* loves this book! he’s gotten to the point where he can recognize the words from the pages if we write them out. his 7-month-old brother really enjoys seeing the big baby faces smiling at him. it can keep his attention for quite a long period of time (a big deal because he’s not into looking at books yet). any book that can make my boys giggle on a regular basis gets a big thumbs up from me. :)
